BIOCOMPOSITE, WHAT IS IT?

InoWood biocomposite is a composite material – a mixture of recycled plastic (plastic windows in our case) and recycled fiber (wood shavings from a parquetry factory in our case). Assurance of biological compatibility and use of a unique technology help manufacture InoWood biocomposite material without cutting any trees and pumping out any oil. InoWood biocomposite mixture consists of approximately 50% of recycled plastics, around 50% of recycled wood flour and few percent of additives, nonhazardous to environment and humans. Plastics from renewable resources are needed to protect wood fiber from environmental degradation, UV exposure, moisture and mechanical impact. Additionally, biological fibers are key components of biological compositions, obtained from materials of biological nature – recycled wood, in this case. The use of biocomposites has been rapidly growing in the fields of different industries (construction, automotive, cosmic space, military, furniture and packing) and fundamental researches, as they are greatly beneficial (renewable and recyclable). Biocomposite profiles are the most popular today in the construction industry. They can be used for terrace, façade, fencing, partition or rail systems, for small architecture, and even for nesting-boxes and hives because they look like wood, are organic and eco.
